Why PPO?
Any tips for securing a PPO?
Summary of the specifics
Importance of good relations within the company?
Criteria used while handing out PPOs?
How did you stand out among your colleagues?
Policies regarding PPOs?
The driving force behind taking this decision was the outbreak of this COVID pandemic. There were speculations in the air that the job market is gonna get drastically affected.Had it been normal times, my decision might have been different
One should try to do the assigned task to the best of their abilities. In case there are any doubts or something you want to ask, be frank and ask your mentor or colleague there.
Firstly my manager asked me if I was eager to get a PPO. After this we had two rounds of interviews. First round was taken by someone from my team only(this consisted of coding questions) and the other round was a ‘Bar Raiser’ round where someone from a different team interviewed me. The second interviewer asked me 1 coding question and some OOPs concepts regarding the question. He also discussed the work done during the internship period. Both the rounds were for about 1 hour each.
Mostly the decision is made on the basis of your sincerity and work qualities but communication skills do matter. It is so because everyone wants to work with someone they can communicate and collaborate effectively.
Companies give a lot of weightage to the work done during internship and communication with them. But some companies like Amazon have additional rounds of interviews for PPO conversion.
Actually, for me, my Mentor and Manager were very eager to hire me for their team.
I have heard speculations regarding but couldn’t verify this myself.
